Aims of the course:
"Mechanization of Production Processes" introduces students to the fundamentals of mechanization in agriculture. In the introduction it deals with the fundamentals of mechanics and its application in machine parts and systems. It also focuses on the energy demands of different processes from its production through energy transfer to ways how to increase efficiency. This part is followed by a chapter on mechanization in agriculture, both in plant and livestock production. Attention is paid to mobile energy resources (tractors etc.) in agriculture and their operation. Students are also introduced to the means of automation in production processes. This chapter will be followed by a part on machine and equipment maintenance and the basics of diagnostics. In the final part, attention will be paid to quality management.

Assessment methods:
The credit is conditional on participation in the exercises (80%) and further elaboration of a semester project on selected topic. The exam is written and oral. In the written part, the student answers 30 questions, while it is necessary to obtain at least 17 points out of 30 possible. An oral exam follows.
