Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to teach students to use advanced quality management tools for optimization of production and non-production processes in all phases.
Course contents:
1.History of quality management (allowance 4/4)
a.Quality definition, system development
b.Quality in the US and Japan, look at quality management earlier and today
c.Development of quality management in the Czech Republic, development of normative regulations

2.Quality in the pre-production phase of the process (allowance 8/8)
a.Process, Process Control, Feedback Cycle, P-D-C-A
b.Failure Mode and Affects Analysis - FMEA
c.Product Design and Modification: Quality Function Deployment (QFD)

3.Quality in the production phase of the process (allowance 8/8)
a.Statistical Process Control (SPC)
b.7 basic quality management tools
c.Continuous statistical data analysis (SW MINITAB)

4.Quality in the post-production phase of the process (allowance 8/8)
a.Customer Satisfaction Assessment (KANO Model)
b.Ways to get feedback from customers
c.Complaint management, how to implement feedback from customers to process inputs

5.Lean Six Sigma (allowance 4/4)
a.Explanation of cycle D-M-A-I-C
b.SIPOC: customers' voice
c.Methods 5S, Ishikawa, VSM, TPM, etc.

Assessment methods:
The credit will be awarded on the basis of min. 80% attendance at seminars, passing a credit test with min. 70% of the correct answers, and the processing and presentation of a paper on the subject of quality management.

Written and oral exam. In the written part, the student answers 4 questions, which he explains and discusses in detail. The overall assessment also takes into account the level of the paper presented in the seminar.
