Aims of the course:
In this course, students will learn about prospective trends and tendencies in the development of hydraulic and pneumatic mechanisms used in mobile means of transportation. They will be informed about individual hydraulic systems and methods of their testing.
Course contents:
1.Fluids used in hydraulic mechanisms, their operational properties, effect of changes in their properties on functioning of hydraulic mechanisms (allowance 4/4)
2.Hydrostatic converters. Axial piston hydrostatic converters, radial piston hydrostatic converters. Other hydrogenerators and motors (allowance 4/4)
3.Control elements in hydraulic drives. Control of pressure and flow, proportional valves, hydraulic locks, hydraulic elements for control of fluid reserves accumulators. Sealing devices, conduction of hydraulic fluids and filters (allowance 4/4)
4.Pneumatic converters. Pneumatic generators and motors, control elements of pneumatic mechanisms. Special pneumatic elements. Pneumatic circuits (allowance 4/4)
5.Hydrostatic drives, control of hydrostatic drives. Regulation of constant flow, pressure and output (allowance 4/4)
6.Combinations of hydrostatic and mechanic drives. Possibilities of automatic regulation of hydrostatic driving mechanism of mobile energetic means (allowance 4/4)
7.Evaluation of hydrostatic and pneumatic drives, diagnostics of fluid mechanisms (allowance 4/4)

-Knowledge of the structure of each type of hydrostatic transmitters and their functional elements.

Assessment methods:
Compulsory attendance at exercises. Hand over and defense of protocols assigned during the semester. Final written and oral examination, a total duration 50 min.Written examination, calculation of given examples. To meet the requirements min. 70 points out of 100. Overall rating, the sum of points from written and oral at least 65%.
