Aims of the course:
Application of pieces of knowledge from general genetics in plants. Genetic determination of special questions of genetics in agriculture plants - theoretical and practical base in plant breeding.
 
Course contents:
1.Plant genetics (allowance 0/0)
 
a.Model plants and genetic aspects of reproduction. Plant genom.
b.Gene, chromosomal and genome mutation (classification, induction, detection, using in plant breeding).
c.Male sterility and self-incompatibility mechanism in plants.
d.Genetics of protein (polymorphism in plants and using in plant breeding).
e.Molecular markers in plants (DNA and RNA).
f.Intra- and interspecific hybridisation in plants (genetics aspects).
g.Genetics of resistance in plants (mechanism and genetic aspects).
h.Protection of biodiversity in plants. Gene bank.
i.Genes engineering and transgenosis. GM plants.
