Aims of the course:
Knowledge of the structure, processes and functioning natural and managed forests, ecosystem analysis in the holistic conception, hierarchy and behaviour of systems, evaluation of ecological impacts of human activities on forest ecosystems, evaluation of biotic interactions and trophic relations, primary and secondary production, biodiversity, stress behaviour, principles of ecological stability and landscape and global aspects of forest protection. Knowledge of the possible impact of global climate change on the forest ekosystems. Intensifying the possibility of an analytical approach to the evaluation of information and the possibility of synthetic evaluation of information obtained.

6.Secondary production in forest ecosystem (allowance 2/2)
7.Biodiversity in forest ecosystems (allowance 2/2)
8.Biogeochemical cycles in forest ecosystems (allowance 2/2)
9.Stress theory and ecological stability of forest ecosystems (allowance 2/2)
10.Ecological foundations of near-natural management of forest ecosystems (allowance 2/2)
11.Forest ecosystems in global context (allowance 2/2)
12.Field excursion - demonstration of methods for ecosystems studies (allowance 0/16)
