Aims of the course:
The subject is a theoretical foundation necessary for studies of the following subjects, i.e. animal and human nutrition, farm animal breeding, primary production of animal products and sensory analysis.
Course contents:
1.Physiology and animal husbandry relationship (allowance 1/0)
2.Function of body fluids (allowance 1/2)
3.Physiology of immune system (allowance 1/0)
4.Function of digestive system (allowance 2/2)
5.Function of vitamins (allowance 1/0)
6.Function of mineral elements (allowance 1/0)
7.Thermoregulation (allowance 1/0)
8.Physiology of reproduction (allowance 1/0)
9.Physiology of the mammary gland (allowance 1/0)
10.Test (allowance 0/1)
Learning outcomes and competences:
Generic competences:
-ability to analyse and synthesize
-ability to work independently
-capacity to learn

Specific competences:
-Ability to analyze acid-base balance parameters of blood
-Ability to analyze blood plasma biochemical indicators of animals
-Ability to analyze hematological parameters of animals
-Ability to use internal environment indicators for health and nutrition status evaluation
-Knowledge of physiological processes in living organism

Assessment methods:
To get to the exam is necessary: all seminars participations is compulsory, students will record the data from the practical works, 30 minutes written test.
After successful fulfillment of these conditions is the course finished with written and oral examination.
