Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The course objective is to learn the fundamentals of Spanish language. The emphasis is put on all language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Target language knowledge level corresponds to A1 level according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Student can understand sentences and words relating to his person and surroundings. He is able to carry very simple and easy conversation and to express basic ideas about himself using learned phrases. He can fill a short form asking about his person.

Assessment methods:
Requirements: the subject is concluded by an examination consisting of a written test (duration 60 minutes, content lexis, grammar, translation).
Course requirements:
- Compulsory 80% active attendance
- Submission of a seminar paper during the semester
- Final examination; minimum score of the exam is 60%
Successful completion of the course includes knowledge of grammar: textbook Manual de Español actual and knowledge of terminology of studied topics
