Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The aim of the course is to build upon the knowledge of general language and improve its written as well as spoken form through written tests, listening practice, videos, conversations, presentations and discussions and reading texts on various topics. After the completion of the course, students should attain the level A2 of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will understand spoken word related to somebody and their environment or shopping and work, they will be able to understand menus. They will be able to read simple texts, say several sentences about a few limited topics. They will be able to have basic conversations and convey information about themselves as well as provide simple descriptions. They will be able to write simple letters about themselves.

Requirements: the subject is concluded by an examination consisting of a written test (duration 60 minutes, content lexis, grammar, translation).
Course requirements:
- Compulsory 80% active attendance
- Submission of a seminar paper during the semester
- Final examination; minimum score of the exam is 60%
Successful completion of the course includes knowledge of grammar: the textbook Manual de Español actual and knowledge of terminology of studied topics
