Course objective:
To widen elemental knowledge of wood pests and properties of degraded wood with emphasis on ability of selection of proper preventive or recovery methods including practical demonstration of wood durability testing against wood pests.

3.Methods of wood durability testing according to standards (allowance 4/0)

c.staining fungi

4.Exotic biotic wood pests (allowance 4/0)
b.marine borer

5.Chemical wood preservation (allowance 4/0)
a.preservative chemicals and their applications
b.creation of own chemicals and verification of its efficiency

6.Practical demonstration of wood durability testing (allowance 8/0)
a.natural durability of wood
b.detecting of preservative chemicals efficiency
