Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
To obtain knowledge of theoretical foundations and their applications in structural principles of hardware in the standard technology of mining activities including basic phase of forestry: Motor-manual harvesting, ground skidding, timber hauling on roads, cross cutting, registration and sale of timber. Knowledge and practical parameters technico differential application of technical devices and systems in the current conditions of all forms of forestry. Provide necessary knowledge for planning, management and evaluation of mining activities forestry. Master the principles of choice of optimized harvesting and transport technologies that respect the protection of forest ecosystems, the technical parameters of machines, safety and economic acceptability.
 
Course content:
1.
Assortments of timber. Defects of wood. Technological quality wood. Interchangeability of timber assortments. Measurements reception, registration, inspection, storage, protection and sale of timber. (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Reception and registration of wood. Dial. Haul rates. Records of timber movement. Statement of stock. Stem sections. Density of wood. Modern methods of electronic records timber. Electronic data recorders and a demonstration of their use of company equipment Latschbacher example - the differences between types of EG 20 and TDS Recon 200X BT + WLAN.

Handling storage and transport timber by rail. Technical and technological solutions to timber depot. (allowance 2/2)

4.Terrain classification and typing technology. Direction felling of trees. Period of timber harvesting. Principles of pre-and post-production editing work. (allowance 2/2)

Chassis and drive tractors. Standard and low-pressure tires, bicycle chains, belts and kolopásy. Pressures on land - the basics terramechanik. The development of tractors for skidding. (allowance 2/2)

Characteristics of design solutions and utility parameters of special forest tractors. Small technical means for skidding. Performance parameters for skidding means drag. (allowance 2/2)

Technical parameters and characteristics of technological equipment of universal wheeled tractors for skidding: winches, shield, wire brush, pincer hinge, blade, bunks body, etc.

7.Combined skidding. Farmer technology. Skidding: transportation trailers and forwarders, tractors and compression grabs pole trailers, their construction methods and conditions of use, performance parameters. (allowance 2/2)

The basic working procedures skidding. Program No. 4: Preparation of work (division and making the stand) for different ways of skidding.

8.
Vehicles and technologies for timber hauling. Loading - unloading, transportation systems, container transportation system. Organization and security the removal of trees in forestry. (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Technical conditions of construction vehicles and equipment for timber hauling. Lifting and handling machinery units (hydraulic cranes). Technical and regulatory requirements for the production cost of the roadside device.

9.Norm-hours. Use of performance standards for technological and economic calculations. Physiologically justified standards. (allowance 2/2)

10.
Multiobjective optimization in forest management. (allowance 2/2)

Using the performance standards of capacity and economic calculations.
Program No. 6: Use of performance standards in the preparation of mining operations.

11.
Application of legal requirements and policy formulation and management of mining activities in operational practice of forestry. Long-term and short-term production planning. (allowance 2/2)

12.
Overview of other technical support options for logging and transport of timber (such as harvesters, forest cable). (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Remote control of forestry technology and its importance in terms of economy, safety and hygiene. Demonstration function remote control winch.

13.
Origin and prevention of damage to trees and forest stands during harvesting - transportation process in forestry. (allowance 2/2)

14.
Concerns of safety and health at work in forestry. Example use special software to detect security risks. (allowance 2/2)
