|Aim of the course and learning outcomes:|
|The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of plant morphology, plant physiology and life cycle of discussed groups with emphasis on their reproduction - related to selected specific plant taxa or systematic groups. Knowledge of dominant and diagnostic species of ecological groups is interpreted into knowledge of the most important characteristics of selected habitats in the Czech Republic. Teaching is divided into three thematic blocks, with an emphasis on their interconnection and orientation in context.
- Fundamentals of plant evolutionary morphology: topics related to phylogeny, adaptation to site conditions and plant identification.
- Basics of plant physiology: topics related to flowering and survival of vegetation-unfavorable periods.
- Systematic botany: focus exclusively on higher plants - ferns, gymnosperms and angiosperms. The selection of taxa corresponds to the requirements for knowledge of dominant and diagnostic species according to ecological groups (habitats), for selected families their diagnostic-morphological characteristics are specified in more detail.
The content of the course has not been saved in this language version.
Learning activities and teaching methods:
