Aims of the course:
To obtain knowledge about forest plant communities composition, relationships a classification. To assume acquirements about forest typological systems. To obtain practical skills.

f.Classification of vegetation and ecosystems

2.Geobiocenological typology (allowance 10/12)
a.Geobiocenological landscape differentiation
b.Groups of forest types
c.Forest types utilization
d.Vegetation in landscape

Learning outcomes and competences:

-Competence to design a suitable combination of trees for planting in the landscape.

Assessment methods:
Seminary work (3 topics - indication of the permanent abiotic conditions and plant community characteristics - 3 x 3-5 pages)
Geobiocoenological mapping and sampling - 1map 100ha 1:10000+text 15 pages, 10plots
Exam (written and oral part of exam - 40/20 min.), exam topics: theory of geobiocoene type, groups of forest types, group of geobiocoene types; Typization of abiotic environment of plant, ekological behavior of plant, physiological-ekological plant types; Data Sorting, classification, ordination of plant communities (ecosystems); Vegetation zonality (zones (geographical, climatical, vegetational); Altitudinal zonality (geographical, vegetational tiers (zones, belts), variants of vegetation zonality; Geobiocoenological regionalisation (diferentiation of vegetation, vegetation variants, bioregion, biochora); Forest typology; Suprastructural units of systems (tiers, trophic and hydric ranges, edaphic categories).
