Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
Students aquire knowledge of the macroeconomic theory at the intermediate level. The course concentrates on explanation of neo-classical approach including the Solow growth model, then the detailed attention is paid to the Keynesian alternative with the open economy analysis. The last part of the course discusses the development of attitutes after the WWII including the modern views (neo-conservative approach, new Keynesian, post-Keynesian, ...)

Assessment methods:
Two partial written test for 45 minutes during the study period, at least 25 points in total from 50 available are required to obtain the credit. In the case of failure, the student could write one compensatory test, 50% success is minimum to obtain the credit. The course is finalised by exam consisting of 60 minutes written test followed by oral part. To pass the written part of the exam, again the minimum of 25 from 50 points is requested.
