Aims of the course:
Providing a body of knowledge on the theoretical foundations of design and function of technical equipment (hand tools, machinery and equipment), the specific types and patterns of functional deployment of the technology-production and work processes arboristických activities in the establishment and maintenance of green areas, taking into account biological factors, habitat, economic , social, health and safety at work, etc. Students will be acquainted with techniques and technologies in production processes related to forestry. Knowledge gained in the course may be used for informed decision-making and selection of appropriate professional and technological resources and processes across a range of activities carried out by the arborist in cooperation with forestry partners.
Course contents:
1.Introduction to the study, basic technical concepts and the importance of specific techniques in practice arborists, basic design of technical resources (materials, components, construction of technical devices). (allowance 2/2)
a.Examples of typical power equipment (tractors, transport vehicles), the most important functional units (engine, chassis, transmission, hydraulic system, curtains).

2.The system of technical and energy resources, their structure, function, basic technical and technological parameters. Act No. 22/1997 Coll. and its significance for using arboristické techniques. Limit load and axle brackets, center of gravity, stability of mobile equipment. (allowance 2/2)
a.Selected structural parameters of the basic utility and energy resources. Theory of power transmission and power mobile energy resources. (Nevrkla)
Program No. 1: Checking the tensile capacity of skidder towing a trailer and towed load.

3.Construction materials and components used in the manufacture of machinery and construction of portable and mobile machinery, machine parts and their basic functional group, the main technology for maintenance and repair of machines. (allowance 2/2)
a.Fundamentals of Engineering and display the technical documentation, standards used in constructing and business practices

4.Growing mature green, machine and technical resources for growing mature green (soil preparation, sowing, transplanting, irrigation, fertilization, mechanical and chemical treatment, crown molding, picking up and handling grown planting stock, etc.). (allowance 2/2)
a.The main leaders of technical means for the production of standard nurseries and their technological classification. Workflow Security sowing two concepts of cell seeding machine. (Nevrkla)
Program No. 2: Quality assurance of planting seeders.

5.Uniform and widespread planting of mature vegetation (technical means, procedures, site preparation and planting location, přesadba trees, construction machinery supporting structures of trees). (allowance 2/2)
a.The design and functional use of the main representatives of applicators of pesticides. Differentiation of the application system according to the type of applied substance and application method. Nontraditional forms of application of pesticides. (Nevrkla)
Program No. 3: Application of pesticides in plant protection.

6.Care for tree and shrub vegetation growing outside the forest, tree surgery and other types of care (Motor-manual tools, hand tools, work processes). (allowance 2/2)
a.An example of practical application software in the recording and measuring trees and timber, and determining factors of expressing case (DendroScanner1, 03, Timbatec TDS Recon, Rigging 1.0).

7.Motor chain saw, their construction and distribution. The technique works with a chain saw. Health and safety requirements when working with a chainsaw. (allowance 2/2)
a.Practical acquaintance with the construction of a chain saw, taking care of her as the main working methods in mining operations and timber processing in normal conditions. Program 4: Basic parameters of the cutting chain saws.

8.Working with a chainsaw in emergency conditions (přesílených felling and processing trees, trees tipped, vyhnilých, overcrowded, etc..). (allowance 2/2)
a.Maintenance and repair of chainsaws. Motor-manual cutters and other equipment suitable for use in tree climbing.

9.Technical resources for work at heights and leaving the trees (high platforms, ladders, equipment and work out for the trees, use). (allowance 2/2)
a.Development of methods and means for climbing into trees. Today, the means for output to the crowns of trees in terms of health and safety, ergonomics, performance and parsimony. Legislative aspects of the methods.

10.Operational experience in the performance arboristických activities - Presentation by specialized firms or institutions. (allowance 2/2)
a.Principles, functions and technical use of technical means for the disintegration of mining residues, techno-economic aspects (grinders, chippers, cultivators).

11.Safety and hygiene in the operation arboristické technology, legislation, policies. Risk management. (allowance 2/2)
a.Ropes and harnesses in tree climbing as a means of ensuring the work safety, the stabilization of trees and their crowns security ties. Construction materials and ropes and jobs.

12.Overview of techniques and technologies in the field of forest production I. Organization of work in mining activities forestry. Production and technical conditions in the mining and transport timber. Specifics předmýtní toll and mining. Wood and its product lines. (allowance 2/2)
a.Information on video production and transport timber.

13.Overview of techniques and technologies in the field of forest production II. Skidding (animal, gravity, mechanical). Tractors for fresh úvazkové bezúvazkové and concentration. Mining tools, their characteristics and distribution. Engineering and Technology refuse timber and timber transport by rail. (allowance 2/2)
a.Use of performance standards for performance and economic calculations. Program No. 5 - the use of performance standards in forest management.

14.Overview of techniques and technologies in the field of forestry production III. Negative effects of technology on forest protection and mitigation methods. Post-production rehabilitation field. Associated forest harvesting and associated silviculture. The technique of cultivation of Christmas trees plantážním way. (allowance 2/2)
a.Ergonomics of work activities in tree climbing.
