Summer School in Germany
Ing. Barbora Floriánová
19. 04. 2017 11:48
In July 2017, DHBW campuses Mannheim, Heilbronn and Stuttgart will offer their first Summer School on Sustainability. From July 10 to 28, 2017, students from DHBW Partner Universities can spend three exciting weeks in Germany while earning ECTS credits during their summer break.
This is the first year we're offering this Summer School on Sustainability and we aim to make it an interesting and worthwhile experience for students from all departments.
The keyword Sustainability covers a whole range of issues and we are intent on presenting a variety of topics to you during those three weeks in July.
We already lined up professors, lecturers and spokespersons from a variety of universities and companies.
Coming from various backgrounds, they will examine Sustainability from different angles and with very different objectives.
We have also reached out to the Fraunhofer Institute in Stuttgart and their "Morgenstadt" project; we have planned a visit with Porsche, also in Stuttgart; recycling will play a role in our Summer School as well; also, we have booked some time in the lab for our segment on Sustainable Food Management in Heilbronn; there will be lectures on sustainable engineering, and much more. So, we're also still working on our schedule, trying to make it as exciting, interesting and varied as possible.
Students can get up to 9 ECTS credits
• by preparing some work before the Summer School
• by participating in the Summer School
• with a poster presentation
• with an actual presentation
• with your participation in the management game and
• with a little more work
We make sure students will also have some free time to discover Germany on their own.
Plus, we also offer our lovely leisure time program...
This program is absolutely free of charge for students of our partner universities.
Students only have to pay for their accommodation and meals, their travels and personal expenses.
The course program itself is free.
Please let your students know about our summer school so they can send us their application - preferably as a pdf - by May 10.
Students should send us
• the completed application form
• a short letter of motivation (500 words max)
• a CV and
• a copy of your passport
Should you have any questions, check out our website or contact the organizer Julia Zessin firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to receiving your students’ application documents and to welcoming them in July
