Title of the thesis:Analysis of school furniture manufacturing possibilities in developing countries considering local resources
Summary:Bachelor thesis "Analysis of school furniture manufacturing possibilities in developing countries considering local resources" is focused on the project which is supposed to offer school furniture that would be locally made, by local people, for local schools and from local resources for schools in Zambia. The theoretical part depicts distinctive topics like Aid in Africa, Project NIKAZAM and basic facts about Zambian nature, economy and education. There are offered information based on vast number of related sources, but mainly there is outlined Zambian culture. Subsequently the health and economical issues are analyzed. As for the practical part of my bachelor thesis, it deals with furniture design know-how and offers solutions considering our requirements. This implies the scope of my bachelor thesis to deliver suggestions for how the furniture should be manufactured, for whom it should be made, which materials are available and who could produce it. Individual findings are interpreted and presented in this work. Conclusion summarizes my findings and theoretical implication of the study.
