Aims of the course:
The main aim of this course is to understand the importance of insurance in personal finance. By passing this course a student receives mainly theoretical and practical knowledge of insurance products from non-life and life insurance. In addition, a student learns about basic activities of insurance companies, insurance market analysis and basic legislation relating to the insurance industry.

Assessment methods:
The condition for admission to the final test is a written midterm work from the practical application of theoretical knowledge of insurance products and insurance mathematics, the appraisal shall enter into the overall evaluation of the course. For a midterm written work a student must obtain at least 60 % of possible points, in the event that this limit will be not carry out, a student can repeat it once again. The final written test from theoretical knowledge is follow-up to the midterm written work, for successful course completion a student must also obtain 60 % of possible points. The final test can not be repeated more than twice.
