Aims of the course:
The aim of this course is to broaden the knowledge of the students in the field of economics and financial management of commercial insurance companies. The course focuses on the regulation of insurance market in the Czech Republic and in the EU, financial management of insurance companies and solvency testing, economics of reinsurance, the transformation of the pension system and on specifics of insurance industry in the world.

6.Reinsurance, Economics of Reinsurance (allowance 2/2)
7.Marketing in Insurance Services (allowance 2/0)
8.Creating and Investment of Life/Non-life Insurance Provisions on Financial Markets (allowance 2/2)
9.Accounting in an Insurance Company (allowance 2/0)
10.Rating of Insurance Companies (allowance 2/0)
11.Globalisation of the Insurance Industry (allowance 2/0)
12.Transformation of Pension Systems (allowance 2/2)
13.Pension Funds System in the Czech Republic (allowance 2/2)

- The ability of a skilled analysis of insurance operations, processes and economic results of the insurance institution

-Student is able to understand the issue of harmonisation of the EU insurance market

Assessment methods:
To get the credit, students have to reach at minimum 60 %, i.e. 6 points out of 10 on the written test. The points from the credit test are included in the final assessment of the subject Insurance II. To get the exam, students have to reach at minimum 60 %, i.e. 12 points out of possible 20 points on the written exam.
After having passed the minimum number of points, the final assessment is:
A... 29-30 points
B... 27-28 points
C... 24-26 points
D... 21-23 points
E... 18-20 points
F... less than 18 points
