Aims of the course:
To provide students with theoretical knowledge from the field of management, to develop their skills to use modern methods of management decision-making in various areas of business management (including strategic management, human resource management, and Time management).
 
Course contents:
1.Business Management (allowance 8/7)
 
a.Porter's model of industry analysis, PEST, SWOT analysis.
b.Formulation, implementation, and changes of business strategies, types of strategies.
c.Requirements on managerial work, roles of managers.
d.Decision-making methods in business management.
e.Business culture within an organisation, organizing in management.
f.Human resources management, legal aspects of recruiting and employee selection.
g.Managing crises.

Assessment methods:
Credit is awarded to students for successful processing of the selected project from the company (SWOT analysis). This study is also used for an oral examination in this subject. The exam is in oral form, first by discussion of the conclusions of the project prepared and submitted for credit,, followed by asking questions of the issues discussed in the lectures. Weight of both parts is 50%.
