Aims of the course:
Obtaining of up to date knowledge in fields of molecular biology and molecular genetic markers that are necessary for exercise of graduates on employment market. Practical obtaining of new and progressive techniques of molecular biology.
Course contents:
1.Molecular phylogenetic, introduction (allowance 2/2)
a.Floristic regions of world, world centers of genetic diversity of plants and animals, phylogeny of species

2.Present taxonomical system of plants (allowance 2/2)
a.Taxonomical units, fenotype, traits on DNA level

3.Introduction to molecular biology (allowance 2/2)
a.Dna of plants, isolation and purification of DNA, electrophoresis

4.Methods for study of molecular phylogenetic (allowance 2/2)
a.DNA amplification, restriction, new approaches

5.DNA polymorphism methods (allowance 2/2)
a.RFLP, AFLP, RAPD, SSR and retrotransposons

6.Analysis of DNA sequences I (allowance 2/2)
a.universal regions for ANA amplification, mitochondrial and chloroplast DNA

7.Analysis of DNA sequences II (allowance 2/2)
a.Nuclear DNA, concerted evolution, DNA cloning

8.Editing of DNA sequences (allowance 2/2)
a.Multiple alignment, suitable software for editing of sequences

9.Statistical methods for molecular phylogenetic (allowance 2/2)
a.Similarity matrix, similarity trees, topography

10.Bioinformatics (allowance 2/2)
a.Annotation of of biological data, transformation and manipulation, biological databases

11.DNA barcoding (allowance 2/2)
a.Principles of DNA barcoding, identification of species, relationship of species

12.Epigenetics (allowance 2/2)
a.Environment influence, DNA methylation, histone modification, genomic imprinting

Assessment methods:
The course is finished by oral exam (30 min, you have to receive minimum 60% knowledge from lectures and exercises.
Laboratory protocols - written laboratory protocols will be during the courses.
