Aims of the course:
To obtain basic knowledge about the structure and ultrastructure of cells, tissues and organs of the human body. Attention is paid to both macroscopic and microscopic (histology) anatomy. Thus, students gain proficiency in the differentiation of human tissues and organs at the macroscopic and microscopic level.
 
Course contents:
1.Cytology and histology. (allowance 0/0)
2.Osteology and Myology. (allowance 4/4)
3.Digestive system. (allowance 12/12)
4.Respiratory system, angiology, urogenital system. (allowance 2/2)
5.Topography of human organs in the Department of Anatomy, Medical Faculty of MU in Brno. (allowance 4/4)

-A capability to define basic human anatomical and morphological characteristics
-Ability to distinguish different cell structures and their function
-Ability to distinguish different human tissues and organs at the macroscopic and microscopic level
-Ability to distinguish different structure and role of mucosa in human digestive system

Assessment methods:
Credits and examination.
Participation on 100% of practicals is required for the exam.
The exam is oral only.
Student will draw one question, which includes a description of the macroscopic and microscopic structure of the organs of the human body (60% of the total mark).
